Nov 16 November 16th Venus Moves Direct and Mercury Stations Retrograde

Hello again Star Trippers!

Today Venus finally starts to move direct so go ahead and schedule that new hair-do or lip injection you’ve been thinking about or start shopping for the perfect Christmas party outfit. The goddess of love is waking up and moving forward!

Let’s not throw a party just yet because Mercury moves retrograde today in the sign of Sagittarius. This will not be a long one as the planet of communication will move direct again on December 6th but this will be an intense retrograde. Retrograde means re-think, re-do and re-assess. Do not sign any contracts, make large purchases or buy new electronics. Also, if you’re wanting to do some early online Christmas shopping I recommend waiting until after the 6th as your packages will most likely become lost or turn into a much bigger hassle than if you would have waited.

Communications will be misunderstood, electronics will go haywire and be sure to double and triple check who you are texting/sexting and that you’re sending that message and pic to the right person!

Oct 31 Venus Moves Retrograde into Libra

Greetings Star Trippers!

Venus has been retrograde since October 5th in Scorpio but today she moves backwards into her ruled sign of Libra. Venus retrograde in Scorpio has been rough! Exes are coming out of nowhere in the weirdest ways wanting to get back together, creeping and liking your posts on social media or you run into that ex you completely forgot about but then remember exactly why you broke up in the first place! Relationships have been at the forefront of our minds reevaluating what do we really want and is this relationship really giving you what need? Scorpio is the investigator and wants the truth no matter how much it hurts. Secrets have been unturned and new information has been brought out into the light. Maybe it hurts, maybe it has been hard but Scorpio knows that it is better to know the truth because you need all of the info before you can make the best decisions for your own life.

Have no fears! Venus in Libra will have a much softer vibration but she is still retrograde so it is not over yet. Libra is the sign of the scales and rules justice, relationships and esthetic beauty. When Venus is retrograde in her home sign there is a lot of miscommunication in love. This is not a great time to have any serious relationship changing conversations with your lover or to make any rash decisions. Communications in love will not be heard or received well so just expect to feel very lost in translation until November 16th.

If you are thinking about getting engaged or want to begin looking for that engagement ring or around Thanksgiving WAIT!!! Even though Venus goes direct November 16th she basically is just turning around and walking all the way back through a path she has already traveled twice before and will not be at full speed and strength until December 2nd. Wait for the Holiday jewelry sales at the beginning of December and plan on a Christmas or New Years engagement. Holiday season 2018 will be much more merry and bright!

Happy Samhain Star Trippers!

Today is the day when the veil between the seen and the unseen is at its thinnest, a day when our ancestors who have gone before us, our spirit guides and angels can communicate with us and we can communicate with them more easily. Samhain is the Celtic New Year, the celebration of the last harvest and preparation for the dark night and the long winter to come. This is a very spiritual time across many cultures celebrated from sunset October 31st to sunset November 1st. Honor those who have gone before you today by telling stories and remembering good times together. A common tradition is to set a place for those who have passed at your dining table and at the end of your meal to share your abundance with who are less fortunate.

The loss of our loved ones is an incredibly painful part of the human experience. Today, speak to those who you have lost and miss dearly and wait for a reply. Spirits do not always speak to us in words but usually with signs. Maybe you will hear their favorite song on the radio, maybe out of nowhere and for no reason you smell a scent that belonged to that person that is undeniable or perhaps they send you the sign in the form of an animal. Spirits speak to us in many ways, all we need to do is open our hearts and listen.

Sep 28 Venus Retrograde 2018

Greetings Star Trippers!

Venus will move retrograde from October 5th through November 16th. We all know Venus as the goddess of love and beauty but throughout the ages ancient civilizations have also worshiped her as the goddess of war. 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' and during Venus retrograde it is easy to want to go to war over the smallest of slights. So watch your temper and ground down your energy because it's going to be a bumpy ride.

She begins her retrograde period in the sign of Scorpio and when Venus is in Scorpio she is not in her element! Scorpio is a very sexy and sensual sign and when the goddess of love and sex is here it's like putting a sugar addict in a donut shop. It is very easy to over indulge in sexual passions or make rash decisions and to add more fuel to the fire Venus in Scorpio likes to own her lovers lock, stock and barrel. She doesn't just want a man's heart, she wants his soul. So what does this retrograde mean for us fellow Star Trippers? This is a time where people and subjects pertaining to love, beauty and relationships from your past will resurface out of nowhere. You may have a random run in with an ex and with this Venus in Scorpio energy you may have an urge for a passionate hook up, old feelings will be brought to the forefront of your mind. Resist the temptation! Exes are exes for a reason and retrogrades want you to reassess and remember the lessons you've learned from before to solidify your new found wisdom so you can move on to bigger and better things.

October 31st Venus will move retrograde into Libra where she is much more comfortable as the ruler over the sign of the scales. This energy is much more flighty and could bring up a spontaneous rendezvous that is at first piping hot but quickly turns ice cold. Be wary of the temptation for a one night stand and I definitely recommend that you should stay away from starting any new romantic relationships during Venus retrograde.

The reason I am saying no here is because it is going to be tempting but during a retrograde things never turn out the way we want them to and if you start something new you will end up going back over it again and again to fix it when you should have waited for the right timing.

Sep 24 Harvest Full Moon in Aries Spetember 24, 2018

Tonight at 10:52 pm EDT we will experience the peak of the Full Harvest moon in Aries. You may have seen and felt this beautiful moon over the last couple of days rising soon after dusk, a huge orange light burnt into the night sky. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, sign of the Ram and the action planet. Aries is ruled by Mars, the god of war and does not like to be told what to do but also will not stand for the mistreatment of others. Aries fights for the underdog and when they think something is wrong, they stand up and fight! This is a dramatic full moon full of explosive fire energy. Maybe you have felt the buildup of this energy and sensed it in those around you. Remember to ground down your energy and think before you speak. Is this really a matter that you want to square up over or can you walk away and not pour more fuel on the fire?

Sep 21 Autumn Equinox 2018

Greetings Star Trippers!

Tomorrow is the Autumn Equinox where night and day are of equal length and we can look back and be thankful for all of the bessings of the Spring and Summer. This is also a time where we should look forward to preparations for the cool dark seasons that are approaching. I alway like to look back to the Spring and think about what seeds I planted and which of those flourshed and which fell to the wayside. Take stock of what you have already accomplished and set intentions for what you want to accomplish in the last third of the year.

During this time focus on gratitude for the harvest of all of the good things in life you have experienced this year and then focus on staying present in the now during this season where it feels like you can blink and it’s Halloween, then you blink and it’s Thanksgiving, then blink again and it’s fastforward through the holidays straight to 2019! I think a great way to practice gratitude is in service of others. No matter how bad things get in our own lives there is always someone who is in even greater need and being of service shows us how to be grateful for even the small things in our own lives. How can you give back to those in need in your own community before we arrive at the Winter Solstice?
